New professorship at the department
Professorship for Customized Production Processes at the LFT filled!
As of 01.04.2024, Prof. Dr.-Ing. habil. Dipl.-Wirtsch.-Ing. Michael Lechner was appointed to the above-mentioned professorship at the LFT. He will continue his work pursuing innovative approaches to forming, heat treatment and mechanical joining with the aim of making production processes more flexible, efficient and intelligent. By integrating digitalization methods, products are to be manufactured more sustainably and energy consumption reduced. The research work should therefore contribute to significantly reducing the consumption of resources in production and the associated CO2 footprint. The content of the work is intended to use practical teaching methods and projects to ensure that students not only acquire theoretical knowledge, but also develop the skills to think outside the box and see the bigger picture.
